Viktor von Carstien is a trueborn Punisher born on Tormunglaciem, who was specially conditioned to terminate Charles von Carstien and Hera Immalia, who are his parents.

He was taught that in order to have the newer generation get stronger than the previous one, children need no ultimately defeat their descendants when they come of age. Those who cannot, simply don't deserve to live. Those who can, on the other hand, have right to live and to create new offspring. It was taught to him that he was destined to defeat his parents, given his unusually sharp skills and powers. He perfected his techniques in every close combat weapon there is, he has a True Light arsenal hid away in the Warp for him to summon whenever he needs them in hand.

To get ready to confront his parents, he prepared since the day that he was sown into a womb, draining the life out of his host mother at birth. For 24 years he travelled across the galaxy to confront greater and greater opponents to defeat them and drain their powers. But it was not enough for him so that his mentors allowed him to drain normal humans and aliens too. He drained millions upon millions of souls, taking pity on none of them. He was told that everything they do is in the name of the True One, and everything that is done in the name of the True One is legitimate. Their souls would not be wasted but served for the cause of True One. In the end, True One would take them to heavens. That was what he was told.

Slightly impatient in character, and overconfident due to his flawless victories over his foes, he had grown overconfident. He went out to seek for his parents without the permission of his mentors. For two entire solar years, he searched for them throughout the galaxy, following their trail without ceasing it to take a break. Then one day finally he did. He confronted both of his parents, it seemed to him that he could defeat them with ease. He was not wrong about his mother, but his father, on the other hand, was not even close to sweating.

Being defeated by his biological father with ease, Charles locked him up in his ship Emnity to give him some time to think.
